Animal Crossing: WW sells 3m
July 30th 2006 05:10
In a rather momentous occasion, the DS game Animal Crossing: Wild World has breached the 3 million mark for sales in Japan.
" Animal Crossing: Wild World has officially hit the three million mark in sales in Japan. The life simulation game, which was released on the DS on November 23, 2005, is one of only twenty titles in the history of videogames to surpass the three million mark."
The rather prestigious list includes a large number of showings from Mario, Final Fantasy and Pokemon (duh).
Also, just on a totally unrelated and totally unfounded side note, this site contains a timer that counts down to the supposed realease of the Wii console, based on remarks made by Nintendo execs. We'll know for sure some time in September, when the details and price are released officially.
